Sign up for shifts and rentals

Pick up a shift

1. Open the Shifts tab. On a phone, it may be under More.
2. Each event lists its shifts with the time, place, how many spots are open, and who’s already on it. Tags show whether the event is Required or Optional and Paid or Unpaid.
3. Tap Pick up shift on the one you want.
4. It now shows Signed up, and it appears under Your upcoming shifts on Home.

Tap Mine to see only the events you have a shift in or have volunteered for, or Everything for every event. It starts on Everything each time you open the tab.

You can take one shift per event. A required event says Choose at least one until you’ve picked a shift. Shifts never add Build Hours.

Shifts you’re assigned to

Some events are assignment only, so Stage Management places people on them instead of crew picking. You’ll only see those shifts once you’ve been assigned. Some events may also be open only to certain crew.

When a shift is full, its button says Shift full.

Volunteer for a rental

Rentals work differently. You say you’re available, and Stage Management assigns your job and shift later.

1. Find the rental on the Shifts tab. It asks Available to work this rental?
2. Tap I can work this rental.
3. You’re added to the list of people waiting for a shift. Stage Management assigns you one from there.

Changed your mind? Tap Withdraw.

Give up a shift

1. Open the Shifts tab and find your shift.
2. Tap Give up spot.

You can only give up a spot before you’ve checked in. After that, talk to your stage manager.

Check in when you arrive

If a shift uses QR check-in, it says Signed up · scan when you arrive.

1. When you get there, tap Scan QR on your shift and scan the posted code. You can also scan it with your phone’s camera.
2. Your shift changes to Attendance awaiting approval.
3. Once Stage Management approves it, it says Attendance approved.

Check-in opens 30 minutes before the shift and closes 30 minutes after it ends. You have to pick up the shift before you can scan its code.
