Crew

Sign in with Google or Microsoft

Let crew sign in with the Google or Microsoft account they already use, and optionally join on their own with your email domain.

Pro and up

Turn on the buttons

  1. In Stage Management, open Sign-in under Settings. On a phone, tap More to find it.
  2. Switch on Continue with Google, Continue with Microsoft, or both.

Google covers Google Workspace and Gmail accounts. Microsoft covers Microsoft 365 and Outlook accounts.

If a button says it isn’t set up on this platform yet, ask the platform administrator.

What crew see

  • The buttons appear at the top of your sign-in page, above the email and password form.
  • Anyone already in your crew list can use the one that matches their email. There’s no password to hand out or reset.
  • Email and password sign-in keeps working too.
  • Someone who isn’t in your organization is told to ask you to add them.
  • Archived crew can’t get in this way either.

Let crew join with your email domain

  1. Under Join with your email domain, type your school’s or theatre’s domain in Email domains, like yourtheatre.org.
  2. Add up to 5, separated by commas.
  3. Choose Save domains.

Now anyone with an email at one of those domains joins as crew the first time they sign in with Google or Microsoft. Each join is recorded in the Audit log.

Personal domains like gmail.com aren’t allowed, since anyone can get one. Leave the field empty to only let in people you’ve added.

Give new joiners more access

Everyone who joins by domain starts as crew. To make someone a stage manager, open Crew, choose Edit account details from their ••• menu, and change Account access.
