Crew

Use your own domain

Serve your crew site from an address you own, like crew.yourtheatre.org.

Enterprise plan

Before you start

  • You’ll need to add DNS records for your domain, or reach whoever manages it, like your IT team.
  • Use a subdomain such as crew.yourtheatre.org. A bare domain like yourtheatre.org only works if your DNS provider supports CNAME flattening or ALIAS records.
  • You can connect up to 3 domains.

Add your domain

  1. In Stage Management, open Branding under Settings. On a phone, tap More to find it.
  2. Scroll to Custom domain.
  3. Type your domain, like crew.yourtheatre.org, and choose Add domain.

It shows Waiting for DNS, along with the records it needs: a CNAME that sends visitors to your organization, and TXT records that prove you own the domain and let its security certificate be issued.

Connect it in one click

Some DNS providers support Domain Connect. If yours does, you’ll see a Connect with button with your provider’s name.

  1. Choose Connect with your provider.
  2. Sign in there and approve the change in the window that opens.
  3. Close it. The domain is checked again for you.

Or add the records yourself

  1. Open your DNS provider. If it’s recognized, there’s a link straight to its DNS settings.
  2. Add each record exactly as shown, copying the Type, Name, and Value.
  3. Come back and choose Check again.

It can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. When it shows Live, choose Open to visit it. Sign-in emails will link to it too.

Needs attention means something is off. The message under the records says what. Fix the record at your DNS provider, then choose Check again.

Disconnect a domain

Choose Remove next to the domain and confirm. Crew can still reach you at your platform address.
